Wish egift instore redemption issue

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone found issues redeeming their Wish E Gift Card in store?

I had issues redeeming my e gift cards at different stores yesterday. They came up as invalid numbers.
They all work perfectly fine online.

I spoke to the Wish e-gift card team today and was advised it takes 24/48 business hours to identify and fix the issue.

I found in the past if it was a normal wish gift card the stores are able to provide supporting however with wish e-gift cards you have limited over the phone support. During Saturday there is a person who can speak to you however they are unable to check or fix the issue during business hours.

  • if its working online then, probably a glitch from that other system?

    • Yes it was a glitch in Woolworth System. Around end of day it can take a couple of hours for the in store code to be active.
      Even though as per Woolworths terms and conditions as soon as the card is received it is activated (assuming you have purchased online).

      The issue is when you have a glitch with an e-gift card the stores are unable to assist you.

      If it is a physical wish gift card they can reissue the card.

      However it would be nice if they just advise this to begin with rather than me having to saying nice words to the supervisors supervisor to get an answer.

    Wish e-gift cards have two code sequences, one for online and another for in-store redemption.
    Hope you were using the correct code.

    • I used the correct code which was in-store redemption code. Also let the checkout supervisor try and I also tried at the petrol station.
