88.88% would be even better ;)
8.88% is still good though considering the other 1.something% cash rewards offers normally
That's for eBay
It's 7% for Aliexpress
and another 88 days for the cashrewards to clear
Only 88 days, who do you know?
I've still got an AliExpress buy from a 1 Sep 2016 purchase that they haven't released.
It still shows as pending payment!@2dogs: Have you tried contacting CR at all? The AliExpress affiliate network needs to approve the commission for CR to pay you.
I sent them a support request last, they're mighty quick to deny a purchase and slow to get back about a pending transaction
So when is this valid till.
30th of January
X88 feature whoohoo
Remember, unless you have a "free currency conversion card" like 28degrees, you will be charged Approx 3% by your bank on all purchases. This is despite aliexpress showing AUD during the checkout process.
Point being, it's worth using CR to offset this expense.
use anz travel adventure cc for no foreign transaction fee!
Nice…..but I believe the annual fee is $225 per annum?
I'd need to spend $7,500 on aliexpress before breaking even!
Citibank Visa Debit card is free :D
That sounds ideal…… I don't need another credit card as such, debit would be fine.
True! But return flight from west coast to east coast is worth more than the $225annual fee
indeed…. a good deal if you live remotely!
@ash2000:
Perth is not considered remote demographically speaking and according to Dept of Immigration
I'm with Commonwealth Bank on their Smart Access Account, and I don't get charged International Fee for purchases from AliExpress. Purchases appear on statement in AUD.
My CBA Visa also charges in AUD but also levies a conversion fee for ~3%.
I've purchase multiple times from Aliexpress and have never been charged a conversion fee. Mine a CBA MasterCard though.
I just called the CBA…… Spoke to a "credit card specialist"….. They confirmed CBA has no products (including all visa, Amex, or MasterCard, debit or credit cards) that are free of currency conversion fees. :(
So it might we worth checking your statement again, as the 3% does not always appear next to each transaction.
@ash2000: I still get charged a currency conversion fee (3%) from other site, but not from AliExpress.
Interesting……..That's a good saving then…..you must be slipping through the cracks somehow!
@ash2000: Recently I thought I made a huge stuff up on a $300 order by using my commonwealth bank debit mastercard. However, I was never charged the international transaction fee! Not sure what's going on there but I'm not risking it again, sticking to my citibank card as I can't find any info about it being exempt from that fee. Maybe Aliexpress opened up an Australian exchange for AUD transactions?
and wait 88 days to get one thing, until you forgot about it..
My experience has varied from 2 weeks all the way to 6 weeks
Depends on the seller. My last 11/11 order just arrived last Wed through normal china post …go figure
Lucky you. I'm still waiting.
@Clear:
For your cute poo cushion? :)I've still got one product outstanding from 11/11. I gave up on it last week and got a refund.
A couple of other items have also disappeared in recent months……they track to Sydney airport and then seemingly disappear .
@ash2000: Same, I've never had missing items until the 11.11 sale. Got everything missing refunded. Not out of pocket at all.
Seller tried to claim bs like how they sent it and I should just keep waiting, I told em I've been waiting 73 days and the item arrived in Aus 35 days ago so no. Tough luck, Aliexpress rules fairly and I get the full refund.
95% of my items arrived.
Yes, some do try to wear you down in the hope you'll simply forget, or run out of time to lodge a refund request.
I suspect the parcels that get to Australia and seemingly go no further have either damaged and or incomplete address labels. Those products get returned to sender anyway,
10% was a respectable difference but from 7% this isn't exactly the greatest bargain around. Ofcourse it's a free increase nonetheless and coincidentally had a couple of (tiny) things in the cart to order hehe
Again?
Was in HK last week and saw Lepin, Lele & Decool being sold everywhere. Way cheaper than Aliexpress
R2D2 was HKD $350, Tumbler $420, Helicarrier $380
Obviously need to carry back, and postage can be expensive. Anyway, make sure you check prices everywhere before you buy because even Aliexpress may not be the cheapest for replica stuff
DD4 sometimes end up being cheaper and sell a lot of products that Aliexpress doesn't.
Dammit. Spent $200 here last night!
It's always been 8%… have you not used it with ALI before?
Its 7% normally.
My bad. You'd think I'd know, as I've made made 200 transactions in the last 18months with Ali and CR.
Trust me, it's 7pc
Bro, stop trolling. 8% is only on Topcash but they haven't given me 0.1% cashback yet. Can't even track my order, unwilling to follow up on the track order number, told me tough nuts sucked in.
anything good though?
USB micro cables and screen protectors are usually slightly cheaper on AliExpress if you compare it to ebay.. even if it's the same store on both sites.
Prob not worth opening a new account to save a few cents on a <$10 item
something like 18.88% would be awesome
