With the Down Under Box, we wanted to make it easy to get your favourite Aussie snacks delivered to you (or a lucky friend) no matter where you are in the world.

Not only does it cost an arm and a leg to send these highly coveted Aussie items overseas, there are tricky customs declaration forms to deal with and plenty of time to be wasted waiting in line at the post office.

With our help, you can send a piece of home to your long distance love, your friend studying abroad, your colleague working on secondment or your child exploring the world. Without breaking the bank and without all the hassle.

    wait what???

$5-$10 worth of sealed food products being sold for $30???

To buy those items separately it isn't easy. Secondly sending stuff overseas is bloody expensive. Sent something to Canada the other day under a kg was just under $40.

      G'day HeXa

We started Down Under Box as we have sent many care packages to friends and families living overseas over the years and the entire process is not very straightforward (or affordable). When you order with us it is quick and easy to do whilst still making a nice gift as you can personalise it with a note and photo.

The service itself is a lot more than "$5-$10 worth of sealed food products", it is for people who do not have the time to go out and purchase the items, buy a suitable box and then wait in the post office line to fill in the customs declaration forms. On top of this we offer tracked international postage for $20 anywhere in the world, the Economy Air solution you suggested does not include tracking and for 1kg to the US would cost $33.38 for the postage alone. If you were to compare our postage to the "Standard" international option for Auspost International that would be $41.18 for a 1kg package (and that is the postage alone).

I hope this clears up the value of the service a little more!

    • The "gift" tick box…

Hey, just realised this deal is a legit use of that tick box. Well I'll be damned!

I've used this service before. Back and forth between here and Switzerland, I'm looking at $50 at least on postage alone just to treat my second family to a taste of nostalgia in Switzerland. The fact I can jump on and get it sent out at this price is pretty good for me. They also pack it nicely, chuck in a letter and a photo that you upload. The whole idea is awesome and honestly - for what it is, I was impressed.

Until you've lived away from home, you won't understand the true value of this company 😀🇦🇺
