I have a mazda cx5 and have 3 baby seats.
I am hoping to move 1 seat to another car and want to get a slimmer seat for my car.
Does anyone know of any decent seats in terms of safety and are structured in a way not to be too wide?

Also the government recommend booster seats for kids under 10 / 150cm, but you can only buy seats for kids under 7 / 120cm.
Been through this, luckily my oldest is not in a car seat anymore.
I can't give any recommendations as mine are fairly old so you probably can't get them anymore but I would say just go to a baby shop and have a look at a few and measure them. Also depending on the shop they may let you take a couple to the car park to try out.
Relevant username! :)
Ha! I never made the connection between my username and the amount of kids I have!
how old are the 3 kids?
when you say 'baby seats', are these forward facing, or need to be rear facing?
It's funny how the laws around child restraints, and child restraint designs both don't match modern car designs. It's like they're trying to make it too hard to have more than 2 kids. /rant
I can't answer your question, as my answer would be the safe n sound britax compaq, but last I checked they don't make that one anymore.
It's difficult to find measurements on websites, and when you do, they use a different measurement to other sites, and can not easily compare. Also, a seat may have a small 'footprint' but then have a larger upper part, and be squished at the top!
I suggest taking a tape measure to one of the larger baby shops. Or just buy them and jam them in next to each other… If they're jammed in, they won't move, right? ;)
Last note is to keep in mind the transition to booster seats. Can a little hand find it's way to the seat plug while there is another baby seat in the middle? That's our issue right now.
