i noticed that as well. the packages left just counts down, with no network communication. dodgy.
100 paint balls isn't going to last long …
Both the time left and packages remaining are running off a countdown timer called flip clock and packages left will go to 0 when the timer hits 0 .
During Christmas I signed up for $9.9 per person × 10 people deal and I thought it was a good deal! This comes with 100 balls. So if this doesn't get rated up, I know I have passion purchased a bad deal.
Its not a bad deal, however the refills are expensive per 100 paintballs and they dont let you share paint either.
Expect them to be very strict on this, which kind of kills the mood on the day.
Money is in the balls. $22 per 100 and for a good time you may end up using close to 500
wow, use to play when i lived in the US a few years back $22 would buy you a box which i think was 1000
My mother always used to tell me that.
Can you BYO balls?
Only 2
100 balls will last about all of five minutes
You're looking at few hundred dollars to have a good time.
The price of balls here are known to be more expensive than all the other places I've been to.
Flogging paintball packages for cheap is one of the oldest tricks in the book. By all means, if you actually intended to go to one of these venues then this will save you ~$20, otherwise you're really not going to get much change out of $100 when you start topping up your ammo.
This is the sort of deal that unsuspecting people buy at Shopping Malls, then realise the place charges an arm and a leg for paintballs, $20 per 100 in this case.
Look around and you will find other Paintball venues are around $10 per 100 balls and end up being much cheaper than this deal steal.
SPAM link, savings counting down automatically. Through Javascript, had to remove most of the code, but here's part:
'.countdown-timer' .FlipClock 231715 countdown: true
countdown-countdown: 1246,
if (time.time < 230400)
countdown.decrement()
}, 214035.087719)
}
countdown.decrement();}, 7570.97791798)
The "packages left" counter decreases by 1 every 7 seconds, without fail, which matches the claim of 2400 packages sold in 4hrs 45min…at this rate they will be sold out by COB today, though I daresay there will be a miraculous restock…and the countdown will start again.
If I'm not wrong, isn't this false & misleading conduct on the part of the seller?
