Best Food Products at Coles/Woolworths/ALDI Supermarket

I'm a person who always want to try new dishes. Always sticking with the certain type of products / dishes make my life boring. So i would like to try new type of dish at supermarket but do not know which one is good. For example: i find Perino tomoto, La Fournee Doree brioche, Danish butter cookies (which is only available at Christmas time) at Coles are delicious.
I know each person has different taste but I would like to know what are your favourite food products at supermarkets (Coles / Woolworths / Aldi) that you can recommend to a non-locals like me to try.
I'm open to all food type from all countries (that can be bought at supermarkets).

Much appreciated.

that briochie is next level amazing. Woolies and IGA sell a sliced version and brioche rolls/hotdog rolls from the same brand. The mini chinois ones would have to be my fav though ;)

Aldi do brioche (hamburger and hotdog buns) from France which is a lot cheaper.

    • Absolutely agree. I will love to try all types of brioche from them. A bit confused as i thought most brands available at Coles will not be available at Woolies & vice versa due to monopoly. However, i see La Fournee Doree brand is available in both.

The frozen and fresh crumbed chicken tenders from Aldi

  • Coles chocolate hot cross buns were amaaaayzinggg previous years. havent got on to this year's one yet though.

also, Woolies were selling these Christmas little fruit pies. I got a pack of 6 for 80c - the black forest (choc, cherry) and didnt expect much, but they were pretty damn good!

  • Tim Tams

Delicious smooth cream sandwiched between 2 crunchy biscuits, coated in Tim Tam chocolate.

Pro Tip: Use it as a straw.

  • The pre-packaged Mac and Cheese at Coles is a winner for me - I've been tucking in to those a few hungover weekends in a row.

  • Woolworths own brand oatcakes. Made in Scotland and better than the Nairn's alternative from IGA at twice the price.
For a non-specialist cheese the Kraft Tasty (only in IGA here in WA) is surprisingly edible for $10 a kilo.
Castello Blue is good if you want to start trying blue cheese.

  • Thanks everyone, i'll try every single item that you guys recommended :)

  • Kewpie mayo / bread roll of choosing / sausage of choosing / onions and salad : best cheapest sausage roll ever.. You can experiment with the different sauces but fir me you cant go wrong with japanese or korean mayo or tabasco sauce

  • The basil pesto at Aldi is very good at that price. Many of the ones in jars have an acidic tang from preservatives. That one does not.

  • Chocolate milk is always good. Especially in this weather.
