Salted Caramel is seriously good
Peanut butter
There goes my diet
Thanks OP
same here -.-
Like you really stuck to it with all these weekly grocery and fast food specials. :)
Very cheap and healthy for body and mind.
OzBargain's favourite ice-cream!
The funny thing is I purchased an ice cream maker and these things are cheaper than if i make my own ice cream! and generally better
Same with bread…
It is great but if your looking for a new recipe http://www.gourmetworrier.com/2009/10/the-worlds-best-chocol… you won't be disappointed
Word of warning - I've begun disliking other ice creams after I tried this! Will seriously raise your ice cream standards.
That's a good thing. Save the calories for the good stuff.
Did you know that a lot of the other 'ice creams' out there aren't actually ice cream - look at their labels. They don't actually claim to be ice cream as they don't comply with the minimum requirements of milk & cream contents or don't have real milk and/or cream. This is one of the few that is REAL ice cream. Which makes this even more irresistible.
I've tried Connoisseur and it's ok. I prefer the Aldi Indulge brand though and it is only $4.49 everyday. That's cheaper than even this half price special.
Every week I tried to cut sugar out of my diet either Coles, Woolies or IGA have them on sale. It's like they each take turn each week for a sale. Why you do dis?! :(
I just don't buy these anymore, not because I don't like them, but more because these are like Pringles - once you pop, you can't stop!
Is that really such a bad thing? ;)
Not for me, because I run almost 13km every day but I still feel guilty after I have polished off a 1 liter Connoisseur in 1 sitting while watching something like Biggest Loser :-)
Hopefully they will have the macha green tea flavour
was looking forward to tasting this, ended up disappointed though. it's not bad but matcha flavour isn't strong at all
Agreed, was pretty disappointed. If you've never had asian made green tea icecream, you might not be as disappointed though.
I have tried Cookies, Dark Chocolate and Belgium chocolate. The best ice cream brand I have ever tasted. Going to buy another 3 flavors this time. Any suggestions?
Try Cafe Grande if you like coffee. It has choc-covered almonds plus a ribbon of Grand Marnier through it.
Mouth watering :'(
I don't like drinking coffee and this is still my favourite flavour
Eventually bought 5 flavours. Tried cafe grande today. Made my day. Thank you.
choc honey nougat. Ah mazing!
Bought it as well. Thanks
If you can find it, the Butterscotch and Gingerbread is incredible.
*edit - doesn't seem to be around anymore :\
Cafe Grande
not all IGA stores have the same deals
True, and not all have the same stock.
The peanut butter and pretzels one is amazing. Too bad they dont stock it at IGA :(
as a pb lover I disagree - the icecream doesn't have pb in the base I don't think - its just a sweet cream base, then there is a tiny bit of PB through it and some pretzels that have gone soft :( each to their own though! Coles PB is way stronger pb flavour if that's what you want
I hope there's Green Tea, best flavour Connoisseur has come out with, not dissing the rest of the flavours, they're all amazing
agree. but to me others are too sweet
Yeah, just a big tea flavour with a bit of sweetness which is why I like it personally
I swear its got a white chocolate base.
It does. White chocolate covered waffle cone bits
Still finishing off the macha tea one from last time. Wife didn't like it so might try another flavour
$4.84 is half price ?!
It's premium ice cream. Compare the prices of those tiny Ben n Jerry's or Bailey's tubs.
I've never bought Connnoisseur at full price but it's well worth $4.84/L!
How long those 1L last everyone? On average i'll get though it in 3 servings, 4 if im lucky
I think that's a great forum topic.
I have gone through half a tub if it's really hot.
I usually ration it out so it will last til the next half price sale. Having said that, I'm completely out.
When did they ditch the EGG from the recipe. I remember a class on set in portions and ingredients wh r re we compared
2L $2 home brand $5 peters standard $5 bulla frozen yogurt $6 extra creamy
$8 Sara lee $8 connoisseur
Some hard egg made them nicer
Budget had more water
Midrange hado in betweenBUT CONNOISSEUR HAD EGG AND HIGH CREAM BUT WAS NEVER THIS CHEAP EITHER
Maybe I'm just bonkers or can't remember correctly
maybe changed the recipe so that vegans can also enjoy it ……..
These things are seriously good.
