Honestly no. You can get far better laptops for $100 less than that. The mY series isn't really that great. Just power saving and lack performance. It is also 2 years old. I would go for a intel celeron or pentium laptop for that price, brand new

if you are after refurbs from cotd, here is a better option

  • $319 gets you a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 with a much faster N3710 processor with an SSD, no need to upgrade yourself. It also has 10 hours of battery life. New condition, not refurb.

It makes the Lenovo E overpriced in comparison.

This guy is right, it helps a lot if you have a SSD inside the machine.

      • I don't understand computer specs very well. Would 128gb SSD be better than 500gb hard drive? Why?

        • Having an SSD is like the equivalent to a person sprinting to HDD where a person is crawling, yeah im not exaggerating here.
Boot up times are faster, waking up from sleep is incredibly quick, transferring data and copying data is on the quick, quick, opening files and applications is remarkably faster and last but not least, no more bullshit "windows is not responding"

have a look at my post

in this age and era i thing everyone should have an SSD for their OS

Yes i would say 128gb SSD is better than 500gb HDD

Hey the 5Y10c is a much better processor 'on benchmark' (passmark) 2814.
    Dell N3710 (passmark) 1872.
and hmtk's COTD ASUA eeeeeeeebook argues in it's specs whether it is a N2840 (Passmark 1013) or a N2940 (Passmark 1756).
I realise that the GPU has a big impact upon user experience. That benchmarks are not a reliable indicator of 'real milage' is there a better benchmark t use?

Humbly bow to Scrimshaw, [tips hat] and hmtk

    edit semantics

    • as you said, benchmarks are not reliable, it depends on the pc configuration. The m series is specifically designed to save power at a cost of speed. Sure it can be boosted, but for regular tasks, a celeron will be more effecient
