  • Just to make it clear for everyone, this offer starts on August 15, 2010 and it ends on September 20, 2010.

  • How long is their buy two get one free TV sale for? Might use this with free shipping if it's still on.

    • im nearly certain its over by then

      • Yeah, I asked when I was instore and they think it'll finish at the end of the month. However, on the website it states "Offer Expires Tuesday 3rd Aug 2010 unless otherwise specified".

It seems very early to even be advertising this. Most people will have forgotten by then.

Be careful with the "Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale" online.

I tested it buy putting 3x $24.95 titles in my cart, then 3x $19.95 titles. It should have given me 1 free $24.95 title and 1 free $19.95 title. But it gave me 2x free $19.95 and no free $24.95.

In other words, it charged me $5 more than it should have. I ended up going to my local JB and buying there, I also ended up saving on shipping.

If you want to / have to buy online, then you'll have to make separate purchases grouped by price, ie group all the $19.95 titles into one purchase, all the $24.95 titles into another, and all the $29.95 titles into another again.

Since there is a $50 minimum to qualify for free shipping this might be an issue.

      • They will charge you in a similar way instore as well, unless you ask to pay in two separate lots.

        • Not in my experience for the Bundal, Gold Coast JB. Can't speak for other JBs though.

          • @Chris McMahon: Hmm, i'm sure it would be a fairly automated system. Maybe you have someone that understands the POS system better than others.

            • @tomsco: Could be.

I did make sure to hand the DVDs over in the correct groups of three.
Looking at my receipt the register charged for the first two, then gave the third free. So it was like:
              1.Charge
              2.Charge
              3.Free
              4.Charge
              5.Charge
              6.Free etc

  • My experience with JB has been that, you are often asked to pay more on line, than in a store. Buyer beware.

    • That may be, but sometimes I've been unable to get the same cd titles onsale instore. So it's a valid point, but not always the case.
