You know if they have actually taken the money off your card there is a valid contract and technically they cannot unilaterally rescind the contract.

They haven't exchanged anything, how is that a valid contract of any sort?
Contract law:
Purchaser makes an offer to buy at a price.
Seller accepts that offer when he accepts payment.
Buy/sell contract then in effect.
If seller then refuses to supply he is in breach of the contract.
Good luck trying to enforce it in this case.
Of course they wont honour it
people taking advantage of technicial glitches and then moan when they have to wait 5-7 days for a refund
no company is going to take the loss on a 1200 dollar tv for $149 irrespective of damage some online forum may cause them
It just doesn't make business sense, if it was a 200 dollar item, end of line they might of honoured some ordersThere are so many terms and conditions you agree to when you place orders online to cover their butts for situations exactly like this
