well maybe not, but my new boots at $32 will help me walk to one that has …
It is your first post.
You asked for forum mercy. That is a good thing. Had you not I think the wolves here, by tradition would have devoured you…consumed your soul and made you weep. 8p
Hey thanks for posting that. Yeah Rivers can be a bit hit and miss. Not all of their boots have leather uppers. Note this please when choosing lest you actually enjoy hearing 'paw who cut these cheeese' etc when you remove your shoes.
But some of them are all leather and at $32 that is mega value.
Cheers.
Grrrr :) damm was to busy today lol
lol@retail concept store price. I dont think that means they are usually sold at those prices. Its more like brand name lookalikes sell at those prices.
Anyone know if their shoe sizes are in UK or US measurments? Also the shirt sizes?
I'd usually assume UK/AU sizes but since the default dollar is US I am at a loss.
UK/AU sizes
All I can say is XXXX ;)
I personally wouldn't bother with this deal - I took up a similar offer in mid march for some pretty good prices, but hey - you get what you pay for. Got the shoes around end of April and the soles of the shoes are already coming off, and I dont even wear the shoes every day!
Don't trust the prices on the online store, they inflate them too much. For example, I bought a par that have a "normal" price of $110, but when I got the shoes, it had a tag for an RRP of $89 - now that's misleading and deceptive.
Oh - and don't expect the shoes to come in a box… nope - just a plastic bag with gaffa tape - classy!
I would pretty much go so far to say that Spendless shoes have far better quality!
Finally, Rivers had a special promotion on gift vouchers with purchases over a certain amount. Despite making the purchase on the website well within the time-frame of the promo, they didnt "Process" the payment until after the promo and hence claimed I wasnt entitled to it.
Rivers dont have any online customer service, you send an email and you get a fairly rude email about how they take all feedback in and act on it - yeah right!
Not sure what you were doing with your shoes, but I bought a couple pairs of dress and casual shoes, been wearing them pretty much everyday since I got them in March, and they're still going strong. Nothing falling off or ripping.
I've emailed Rivers a few times and I've gotten replies…not sure who you emailed…
I have had a few rivers shoes and they have been pretty good. Like most shops they dont have much of a range in larger sizes, if they did i would get more from there.
If they broke apart after a few months just take them back to a shop and say they were faulty you want a refund or exchange. They would be under 'warranty' still.
Pretty poor form on the voucher, you probably should have called them to sort it out (yeah i know you shouldnt have to but they probably would have fixed it)
I bought some Hiking Shoes from them 1.5 years ago, and they have JUST worn out. Make sure you get the "Python Soles" - they have a tag that identifies them as such. These are worth AT LEAST about $50 anywhere else!
They thoroughly test their shoes, even more than places like Kmart, etc.
I thoroughly recommend Rivers.
And you can get the same $32 and $28 offer as above, at all of their Retail Stores.
No need to order online.
erghhh… rivers is pretty crap. most stores dont have any of the stock u see on tv.
