I used to work for a division within Qantas and holymylordy Jetstar has a horrible on time/cancellation record.. Qantas still isnt great.
I legit choose to fly tiger if I actually want to increase the likelyhood of me getting to my destination on time..
Why can't people be content with being uncontactable for a few hours? I hope like hell it isn't good enough for voice services to work - it's bad enough in lounges with Mr important sitting there talking loudly on the phone.. don't want that in the air.
Streaming tv/videos, reading news, research, remoting into work,.. there are far more uses of the internet than contacting people.
Qantas will be using the nbn sky muster satellite to deliver high speed internet. They have also partnered with Foxtel and can access Foxtel Go which is part your Foxtel subscription.
Would be great if they put that much effort into being on time
