I was looking at purchasing Brother MFC-L2700DW but I didn't check out and left my browser page on:

and today I realised they jack up the price from $149 to $175

Who should we complaint this to? ACCC or eBay?

  • This is common practice, they set their own prices, it is not right but nothing you can do.

    • How is this different to what Kogan did last year?

      • It's not any different. People will whinge and complain but how many actually bother to report it? None.

      • Looks like I am wrong. Although these were specific advertised sale items, there is nothing to stop an ebay store from altering the prices as they see fit.

Technically they lowered the price during the eBay 20% off sale and then put it back to its starting price.

Thats what they got you believing.

  • you could try using the 'make offer' button?

    offer $149.

whether you choose to include a spiel how it was $149 earlier or not is of course an option too.

  • So I missed out on the speical. Damn~

  • Jb hifi, kogan, dse (before they closed up) just to name a few that do it.

  • ACCC won't actually do anything about it. They'll just offer you advice
