Slim line dryer - Under 600mm Wide - Help needed please.

Hi everyone.

I am needing to replace a dryer in a rental apartment I manage. Currently have a Fisher & Paykel which is 565mm wide by 790mm High.

it seems as though all electric dryers on the market at the moment are 600mm wide. Unfortunately this won't work as it will not fit into the cavity.

Anybody out there know of a model that is only 565mm wide. I have trawled the internet but can only find second hand older models.

      Unfortunately they are SOLD OUT as its an older model.

    Maybe you need to remodel the space you want to install it. Even if you find a new dryer now it seems that this might be an issue in the future. Maybe you should think about getting a second hand one at this stage with a view to remodelling in the future.

      Thanks, unfortunately we can remodel it it is in a cavity that has been purpose built with a door in and is in a studio room in a block of flats. We are the managing agent for the landlord.

      If I have to get second hand than I will but was hoping for a new one so the owner can get some longevity with the appliance.

        Buying a new appliance does not guarantee longevity - I would look for a good quality, relatively new, second hand one. We had a similar problem with fridges. When we built our kitchen we put in a cupboard for the fridge - unforunately when the fridge broke down we had a big problem finding a replacement that fit. Best of luck with the search.

    Thanks. Ironically I saw some narrow Fisher and Paykel dryers (~ 560mm wide) at IKEA today but there were none in stock for sale.
