New Pre Paid BYOM Plan Needed for 2017 - Needs max data

Hi All,

I've been using a work provided phone and plan for almost 5 years so out of the telco plan game. I dont need a new mobile - just a low cost data focused pre paid or post paid plan.

I really honestly only need it for data (do a lot of tethering) and minor calls/text $. My current personal phone is just on the Amaysim pay as you go, and as my work phone plan was basically unlimited, i only needed to top it up with $10 every 2nd month. However Amaysim $100 for 10 gigs of data seems pricey.

The recent woolies Oppo R9 plan seemed to be about where i would like to be, but i already have a phone (dont need new one).

Any rec's would be muchly appreciated.

Cheers Oz peeps!

  • Can anyone give feedback on TPGs plans
    1) 3GB plan - $15 per month first 6 months - $29.99 there after
    2) 7GB plan - $19.99 per month first 6 months - $34.99 there after

Im currently on Optus, and pretty happy with the network coverage in my area.

PS - i dont have the internet connected at home as we will be moving soon.

  • +1

Optus has $40 plan with 10gigs of data locked in for 12 months - thats what im on at the moment and am very happy with it. or about $60 for 9gigs month to month. Extra gig of data for $10 each time you go over that gets reset each month.

How much data do you need/think youll need?

    • Good question. Its hard to say as im currently on a pooled plan with other employees so i dont really know how much i use (and the ios current period data shows 484 GB - which i highly doubt is all me)

    • They also have a $50 plan with 15gigs of data locked for 12 months instore comes with 500 international minutes to 20 something countries.

  • Have you looked @
