As usual with SCA deals on eBay there is zero stock showing up but their own website says it's in stock :(

    • Try buying one item at a time. That worked for me.

      • Nah doesn't work, every single thing on their eBay store is not available for C&C

        I just get this http://iforce.co.nz/i/u2gocobn.xnm.jpg

It must be something to do with my local store as I tried a town 100km from here and it works.

for me ebay showing stock at my store until i enter checkout and paypal login then
the error of "The seller doesn't have that many left" appears and wont let me checkout, i only wanted 1.
          whatevs!

        • +1

Yes definitely something to do with your local store…

          http://i65.tinypic.com/qmyw3l.jpg

        • im getting the same from my local store (Ballarat VIC). very frustrating as it is in stock on their website.
edit: i just tried with 3 random items and their all supposedly out of stock.

        • @conant:

That's what @sleepy120 is saying. Even with your location (per your image), it says it's available but when you check out it says out of stock.

  • Available stock in every store nearby me. Bought some wash and wax.

  • That's mate got the cleaning stuff it's good! Especially the price! :)

  • bought the car wash, great price.

  • For sca eBay deals with these promo code l found you could only click and collect 1 bottle of oil per shop per order.

If you previously bought one this also count as one this also counts and won't allow you to buy from the same shop.

    • +1

Yep. I had to chnage my quantity from 2 to 1 to complete the checkout and it wouldn't let me make another order. $40 is still damn cheap for the oil though. Might just grab another in store.

  • i still have 3/4 of a bottle…
would last me another 2 yrs…

    still bought…

recomend this with the NXT 2.0 wax

    • wax on … wax off.

Awesome wash at this price. As the directions are always sketchy on most detailing products this has a recommended dilution 128:1. So that is approx 77mls of wash per 10L of water

  • how is the penrite oil?

    • Its good oil. Its officially MB229.5 approved which is one of the toughest specs to meet.

  • Does anyone know if the ebay store does combined shipping? planning to buy multiple items but getting charge $7.95 per item

    • +1

Yes it does, it says on the listing.

Whats the normal car wash process with this product? I've so far only ever gotten a bucket and soap (whatever I get hold of first..dishwashing/clothes) and washed the car with a sponge and dried it off with a microfiber…it was a old car so it didnt matter.

Anyhow..do you simply put a bit of this in a bucket of water and wash as normal or do you need to follow up with a separate wax product?

TLDR: I don't know how to wash/dry/wax/polish a car properly

    • It is used just like any other car wash. It will give the car a just waxed look. The wash doesn't really contain any wax. It glossing agent which does add 1-2 weeks of durability (far less if it rains) but does not replace a wax or sealant. Plenty of info here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/285556

      • I have a 1 year old white colour car. After washing the car I noticed some tiny black and yellow dots on the rear and side of the car. I did a search on the web and these appear to be rail dust. I tried to use my finger nails to get them off but these stains are rather stubborn. Any advice on how to get them off easily?

        • -2

If you've tried scrubbing them off and they're still there try rubbing them off with toothpaste - whitening toothpaste works best.

        • -1

Clay should remove it. If not any residual use polish. Ignore the toothpaste idea. Some people watch too much MythBusters

        • @4agte: I saw videos on YouTube about a product call IronX that can be sprayed on the car, leave for a few minutes and then rinse off to remove these deposits. Don't think IronX is available in Australia. Is there a similar product that is readily available from auto shops?

        • @felixfktung:

Iron x can be bought in Oz. Wax it is the only dealer of CarPro that I'm aware. Optimum also have a paint decon product called Ferrex

How about you actually research it before making a comment like that?
A quick google/ Youtube video search will show people (INCLUDING DEALERS) use toothpaste to remove permanent marker & scratches/ scuffs on car paint. I had little yellow dots on my car too and used toothpaste to successfully get them off.
          CHEERS.

          @shapers:

Funny that you believe a quick Google and YouTube is considered research. Show me a reputable detailer online that suggests using toothpaste.Toothpaste is a light polish so it is possible for it to work but there is far more effective ways to do things. there is a massive difference between something working and working well. I do not see Colgate and McCleans entering the detailing market soon.

Unlike keyboard warriors I do all my own detailing research. I doubt you would ever meet a person that has done as many product comparisons than me. My knowledge is my own, not Google's or YouTube's

        • @4agte: I like how you havnt tried it or heard about it and you're still dismissing it as an option.

Clearly you havnt looked into it enough.
Im not going to go looking for a video i watched a year ago to please you. To remove some tiny yellow dots, please name a more effective way than getting a dab of toothpaste and rubbing it for 2 seconds then washing it off?

There are thousands of links available such as this or this or this and hundreds of Youtube video demonstrations showing how toothpaste can be used.

I suggest you look into it then come back and thank me when you realise there are easier and cheaper ways to remove tiny yellow dots than what you thought.
Thanks for reading and have a good day.

        • @shapers:

please name a more effective way than getting a dab of toothpaste and rubbing it for 2 seconds then washing it off?

Those yellow dots are sap and there is a number of better and easier - clay bar, APC, IPA, actual polish

There are thousands of links available

I asked for reputable links. Not MacGyver blog. Reputable forums, AutoGeek, Autopia, Detailing World, MOL, Detailing Paradise. Or creditable YouTubers, AMMO, Mike Philips, tossbag Gary Dean, Auto Fetish

come back and thank me when you realise there are easier and cheaper ways

I'm in the detailing industry and as I said "I do all my own detailing research" I have messed around with toothpaste but there are better ways

The methods I have suggested aren't even expensive. One of them is even free besides the cost of boiling done water to damp the towel

Personally I wash the car, clay bar with lube, then spray wax to re-add protection to the area. I find it the fastest and easiest way myself. Clay lube doesn't even cost $1L to make

        • @shapers:

And sorry. Sometimes I can come across a bit of a dick. Toothpaste will work on sap no doubt about it but when people start talking about it being effective in tasks like polishing headlights or being good on light scratches it simply isn't true. None of this which you said. But for me I have an array of quicker options on hand. Claying is going to cause less marring than any other quick option. Generally my clay lube is also a waterless wash as well so once I have finished claying the paint is ready for wax

        • @4agte: All good, sorry for replying like a dick.
Agree about the headlight polishing - but a couple of weeks ago my dog scratched up the side of the door while hanging out the window - the toothpaste removed them pretty easily.
Just curious, do you know any headlight tricks that actually work? mine have gone pretty foggy and yellow and I feel like i should just buy a new pair for $130 but happy to hear any suggestions?

        • @shapers:

          The best way
          Wet sand - 600-800, 1000-1500 then 2000-3000 grit paper
Polish - Compound followed up with a finishing polish (PlastX is great for plastic lens)
          Clear coat

Obviously clear coating an option for everyone and can be costly. Given the cost of new lens this method is probably not best

          Alternative
Same steps as above but substitute clear coat for a headlight protectant.

I would just buy this kit or this one

Definitely not going to last as long as clear coat but is much cheaper. Protectant should hold for a year or so.

      • Thanks for the info and link :).

  • Gonna try it out with the pressure washer. At 1:3 mixture, it's cheaper than 5L Karchar shampoo.

No Bingo. Getting the error "The seller doesn't have that many left." at checkout.
Tried every store nearby even though it says In Stock.
Originally tried to buy 2 bottles, then tried 1 still no luck.
Guess I'll get it from Repco for an extra $2.61 :(

    • Same issue at my local store, showing in stock but wont let me order.

    • Yep, same here.

  • How is SCA's return policy? If I bought a bottle through Click and Collect yesterday, and then bought this with Click and Collect through ebay today, could I return my original one?

  • The seller doesn't have that many left.

all the stores near me displaying this message.

    • Likewise….

    • I rang Supercheap. They told me their Ebay store only has a limited number to sell via C&C. Presumably because they have an extra 20% off with CSITE20.

    • my local store in ACT still has stock but they stopped the web orders

guess they sold a few here as the guy at the checkout said "oh another one of those"

  • Ordered last night, technically this morning, didn't expect a text to say ready to pickup this morning. That was quick.

    • They promote 90 minute click and collect during business hours.

  • Bloody click and collect doesn't even show my local SCA, instead only surfacing a BCF.

  • -1

Can't add quantity greater than 0 now, marked deal as expired

  • Any chance it'll be going back on eBay or should I just buy it off the SCA website?

    • I just picked up my order from the local store in WA. Although their Ebay site is showing 'no stock', there was plenty of stock on the shelf.
