Pure Harvest has 10% soy from recollection. Is the Aldi one 2%?
FYI, best bang for buck is Woolworth's Macro with 17% for $1.79.
They all have about 3.5-4% soy protein content. Some brands sport higher figures because they report the original soy bean percentage by weight. It's a marketing trick. However some people may care about the organic claim of Pure Harvest.
This has organic soy 13%.
I just bought a couple of out of curiosity about the taste. It's 13% whole soy beans which equates to roughly the same %age soy protein as other brands.
@greenpossum: still doesnt come close to bonsoy
@furythree: Like in level of iodine in the past? :) Protein deficiency due to brand of soy milk is unlikely, so really it's down to taste what one prefers so the %age is of little concern to me.
@greenpossum: they changed the recipe so what does that matter? why dont you rant on about samsung phones exploding as well or iphones bending and being held wrong
I dont drink bonsoy for the protein. its for the taste.
every other brand has either been watery or feels like youre drinking plastic@furythree: Relax, it was a joke, I know they changed the formula after the fiasco. I don't think we disagree, you choose for the taste, so do I, so let's leave it at that, taste is personal.
The Aldi Soy Supreme Light is 3.4g/100ml protein
Thats pretty cheap,I buy 1 soy milk daily.
Regarding soy percentage,I only check protein content per 100ml.
most soy milk are between 2.8 to 3.3g per 100ml.From memory, Pureharvest also had some other half price options. Oat milk, cocoquench and a couple others.
Thanks for this post :)
(Just for the info of others, Aldi has 1L Soy milk for $1.09 regular price (used to be $1.69 earlier in the year))
