Ted's 13% off Friday 13th Sale (Cameras, Lenses & Drones Only)

110

Received newsletter from Teds on their 13% off sale on selected camera & lenses.
Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Ricoh, Pentax, Sigma, DJI, Kaiser Baas, Micro Drone.

Does mention Olympus EM1 II & Canon EOS M10 not included in the sale.

Too poor to be buying anything after Christmas.
Hope this will benefit someone who's in the market for camera gears.

First-time poster, hopefully I got everything correct!

They do offer a 6 months interest free period (via Zip Money).

@Sir Casm: "interest free" with a 25$ establishment fee and 5$ monthly fee. That's 55$ over 6 months. Assume you borrow their initial line of credit at 2000$, you're paying 2.75% of what you borrow in fees over 6 months, or a 5.5% yearly interest. If they allow you to borrow massive amounts then yes it's interesting.

        • Financing a purchase from a retailer seems a very expensive way to buy electronics. Even with their interest free offer you have no means of bargaining for the price. You would be better off buying second hands if possible.

        • @EarlyBird:

I agree absolutely, I pay cash, always, but there's definitely an option for plebs to fall into the trap of borrowing to fund consumer purchases…

    Any bargains?

  • Discount not showing in cart??

Unfortunately with Ted's prices you'd need a 30th/30% off sale, to make things worthwhile.

      • Apply the discount code and let me know what you see :)

  • Harvey Norman have been doing a sale on some lenses all week but their prices seem to go back up as soon as they get any interest.
Bought Sony e mount 50mm f1.8 $243 Tues, now $285 some cheap uv and polarised Hoya filters.

    • Gerry's 'surge pricing' in action!

  • They all seem to be doing it now though

One day specials, and if you turn up the next day they don't know what your talking about

Like you've dropped into an alternate reality

' What price, the computer says it's never been that cheap 'and these are not the droids your looking for'

At least jb-hifi acknowledge something happened, when they say it was all a big mistake

that price = 2hour ozbargain frenzy
