  It has been less than this over the last year. I bought one a year ago for $1349.

  Note also it is an i5 broadwell chip, now two generations old. Still has fast storage etc, perfectly functional and not sloppy at all, but still. I reckon this is Apple's best all rounder and perfect school device. Pity Apple are clearly dropping this line through neglect.

    Yeps great all rounder. I picked up the Haswell one from Myer for $800 odd when they were on run out. 11" with 256GB SSD.
