Hey all,
I've been a member of the blatchys discount portal since the free registration and have used it numerous times to secure great discounts at jb,eb and my usual woolies shops.
Question is, how does it all work? Do the retailers foot the bill to attract people to shop there or is Blatchy's Blues footing the bill for loyalty?
I know woolies and Coles do 5% everywhere, but there are a lot of retailers I've never seen discounted, with the examples of jb and eb sticking out.
FYI Coles don't do 5% off 'everywhere', in fact it can be difficult to find them discounted.
I think it's like anything these days, it's either a) in the profit margins, or b) counted towards the marketing budget etc.
It's like Cashrewards and any other affiliate program… the average Joe doesn't even know these exist, that they could get a discount off their purchase just by grabbing some of that affiliate profit.
If you weren't internet savvy, it would be very easy to miss out on the 5% discounted gift cards, cashback, etc etc.
Side note, good to hear it's worked out well :) still haven't ordered from them yet! What's the average turnaround time for the gift cards?
