680

Heres a deal that can be maximised with creativity.

1 - Download and register the Loyalty App which gives you 1 free coffee, no physical card needed.

2 - When signing up, make sure you put a 'birthday' down (cough cough) and set a reminder that when you receive confirmation that your free coffee is ready, hold out until your 'birthday' and you can also combine with coffee.

3 - you could even combine with the free cookie class for kids on 18/1 nationally https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/286830 thanks to undercut's post.

Posted 6mths ago, no rules broken and might be helpful to those who haven't seen the previous deal posts.

I wasn't saying it was a Dupe, nor have I reported it. A link back to the original deal can be a nice thing to do. For one thing, it might answer someone's questions if they've been asked before. And another is it gives credit to the original poster.

          Wew teamwork!

  • Has anyone been asked to produce ID to verify their (cough cough) birthday?

    • +6

I (legitimately) redeemed mine recently and wasn't asked for ID

.. and guess what? This whole campaign has been a success for them because I had never ever ordered from Muffin Break before that.

I have since gone back and bought myself a muffin because I found the free one good!

  • You: "Can I please have a coffee and complimentary cinnimon muffin for my birthday." (as you hand over loyalty card)

Muffin Break worker: "Straight up; show me some ID, NOW!"

Have had this happen at Subway, lol.

Uni ID didn't cut it - drivers licence only :. Only happened once over many years of Subway birthday offers, but it does happen!

  • No thanks. My first and last free coffee from them had hair in them. No apologies from their unfriendly staff busy just an "it's okay". It's not okay! Never again.

  • No android

As long as they have Muffin Tops as opposed to the full muffins.

Their muffins are pretty good but muffins are the devil.

  • There is a store ground floor of my office :)

  • Awesome! Just signed up.

Is there a wiki page on all the business that offer free stuff or discounts on your birthday?

    • Thank you

  • Some store asked to show driver licence now, so it's a bit tricky.

  • Now only if the App work. Bad reviews on Android as you cannot go past first screen.

  • A break from noodles for uni students

  • Note that the Muffin Break in Southbank Melbourne does not allow its employees to process the free coffee and birthday muffin promotions at the "same time".

Speaking of Melbourne, I think OzBargainers are more active in Melbourne's CBD vs Sydney's CBD, since Melbourne staff NEVER had to carefully read the details of a promotion or ask for a manager's approval. Or maybe there's less staff turnover or less firetrucks given?

    • Muffin Break in Southbank Melbourne sounds like a fun place :\ wont be heading there in a hurry.
      Thanks for the heads up!

    • Unlucky.
I just redeemed both with no issues at southbank this morning

      • Happy birthday!

I still haven't claimed my free coffee. Do you know if you can have hot chocolate or a chai latte instead?

(On a side note, on Android I noticed a few days ago they added ID access permissions as well.)

  • now includes latte art for the next two weeks or next coffee free if you're not satisfied https://www.facebook.com/MuffinBreak/photos/a.25901055413043…
