[Noob Request] Help to Paint My Car

I have a car which has a lot of scratchs, dents, and hole :(. As we have Supercheap Auto 20% sale and I also have a giftcard, I decide to buy some stuffs from there. After I watched a lot of Youtube videos and did some researchs (still noob), I raise some questions and hopefully you can help me:

  1. Which Paint brands suit best? They have Color Spec, Export, Dupli color and Septone.

  2. Should I buy different primers for metal (car door) and plastic ( bumper)?

  3. How many cans you reckon to fill 1 and a half doors, and 1 rear bumper for a Camry one?

  4. Dent Repair: My car door developing some corrison, so I need to sandpaper it and apply some body filler.

    They have Septone brand on this video, but I confused those things, what are the differents?

  5. Rear Bumper: As I know, supercheap sells unpainted bumper too, is it well fit to Toyota car? Do I need extra parts to install it? I asked store staff but she is useless and rude.

    To be brutally honest with you don't even try. As you have no experience or professional help/gear the end result that you will get will not even be close to what you want. If the car is worth a bit take it to a panel beater but in most cases it will not be worth it. Just drive it as is and buy a better/nicer car down the track

      that thought divide me into 2. Part of me think like that, but recently I want to experience something new. Besides, my wife car has a bumper scratchs too, so I want to try my old car first. My estimate cost and equiqments to do that is 200-300 bucks, including paints, body filler, safty gears, and polish/compound/pads

    youtube is your friend.

    what is the car worth? if it is little then go for it and learn some skills.

    what colour is the car?

    3.How many cans you reckon to fill 1 and a half doors, and 1 rear bumper for a Camry one? - 5

    4.Dent Repair: My car door developing some corrison, so I need to sandpaper it and apply some body filler - always sandpaper/clear off rust to prevent further rusting. unless you only plan to keep the car for a couple of more years then taking it to a wrecker.

    how much prep you do will affect how good the results look and last.
