The PDF voucher is from the city news website (the whole paper is available in .PDF).
I have tried in 2 places, both declined this as I need to show the original cutting from the City news

i just tried this at hanachi but they rejected it cause it wasnt an original copy. What places actually accept the print outs? Where can you get the mag anyway?
Same problem, Naked Fruit and Maccas accepted the printout (reluctantly) but others wouldn't.
Paper probably came out end of last week, couldn't find any copies around town.
afaik it didnt state that it had to be the original copy on the voucher, therefore arent they legally required to accept print outs? This reminds me of the grill'd fiasco where they only accepted copies from uni times mag

Yep I went in today at lunch to use an online edition voucher. Seems like Wintergarden centre management advised Hanaichi that they cannot honour online edition vouchers. The manager at Hanaichi initially accepted my printout but went straight up to Center management and was advised not to accept so then came into the food court to find me :) We ended up giving him a print edition voucher to satisfy his need.
So it appears to be grill'd fiasco all over again as per ih8parties comment.
I have made a formal complaint at http://www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au/online-complaint-form.htm and suggest others do so if they wish. They are legally required to accept online edition printouts, unless otherwise notified to the contrary (there are no T&C's).
I had considered trying to get McDonalds to accept but they will soon mandate them to be invalid when they try to claim them from Wintergarden.
There's not many print editions around anymore and I believe a new edition comes out tomorrow - last time Wintergarden did this promotion (when they started construction) they followed up the next week with a repeat of the voucher so perhaps there will be more opportunities.

What so they have done this before and not honoured print outs? You'd think they would have learnt their lesson from the first time and at least specify "only original print copies accepted".
Hopefully the dept of fair trading will come down on them and force them to honour it. I also hope they fine them because its the only way they will learn their lesson and not do this sort of nonsense again (you're saying they have already done it before?).
Unfortunately grill'd got away with the same thing, so no doubt wintergarden will also.
I wonder if nando's will honour these vouchers like they did with the grill'd ones? There is a nando's in queen street mall.

I asked at the information place in QSM that normally has a bunch and he said the only ones left would be in some arcade. There weren't any left. Hotels are probably the only places with any left. There's normally a bunch in hotel lobbies.
Apparently new editions come out Thursdays.

That is why I went up to ask them if it was correct to do so
I asked them if it was ok to use the photo copy or print out or whatever
they replied me as "Not acceptable", if they answered me "acceptable"
I would've received many many vouchers already

My company got extra more than $9000.
It is a lot of money.
Because it is the center management has to pay us for those.
That's more than 3000+ copies of city news magazines that they printed out.
(Just for my shop, I don't know about how many vouchers for the other shops in the food court.)

the first time we got around more than $5000.
and the second time we got around more than $8000.
For those all add up, u can buy a cheap car already.
