Looking for a good deal on an Australian Version of the DJI Phantom 3 advance or Pro
DJI Phantom 3 Pro or Advance

I believe the altitude legal limit in all but specifically controlled airspace is 400 metres. You're safe.
OP, buy a Mavic Pro, those things are the best.
You might be confusing that with 400 feet.
The Mavic is compact, but image quality suffers.
Barely suffers. It's still 4K and better than almost anything else on the market.
Thanks for the comments, appreciate it
What are you planning on using this for as it could make a big difference in your purchasing decision? also if u can afford it it migiht be worth gettioign the phantom 4 i found one for $1304 (ive never bought from this site so i don't know how legit it is) https://www.camerasky.com.au/dji-phantom-4-quadcopter.html#.… (use coupon code thanksbf to get $10 extra off)
DO NOT BUY FROM CAMERASKY…!
Google their reviews.
Just a bit of filming and fun, nothing to crazy
id just grab the cheaper one or the mavic is an awesome for versatile option if u can afford it its more of a drone to have fun flying then one for cinematography
Just missed out on the kogan sale for the 4K version. I think $900 is my budget could stretch a little
I've been looking for Australian stock of the Phantom 3 advanced but have not seen any great deals lately. I came across Kogan selling a refurbished Phantom 4 for $1299 which is not that far off the Phantom 3 Advanced. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/dji-phantom-4-official-dji-refu…. Says Australian stock and full DJI warranty. According to DJI these are likely to be from people who have returned there drones within 7 days for a simple 'Change of mind' and have been fully tested etc. Thoughts?
Yeah I think I would pass on a refurb
Literally the only two differences are the charger (not battery capacity though) - you'll have a shorter charge time for each battery, and the camera - 4K video vs 1080.
At the moment, as a Phantom owner, I'd recommend you refrain from either until they fix the current firmware issues. There's a couple of issues - one leads to inability for the drone to fly at all (ESC errors) and another, I just spotted this morning, is causing the RTH function to exceed even the aircraft's own 500ft limit, which is both dangerous and super illegal!
