What Is Your Favourite Android Phone and Why?

Hi,

Looking at soo many options in Android Phones to buy, I am a bit confused to chose one.

What android phone are you using or whats your favourite android phone, and why?

Please also provide the good and the bad about it.

Hope this will help others too to chose based on the features/experiences etc.

Thanks

  • Nexus 6P, because it is mine.

You cannot ask something so vague.
I may be wrong but I think there are already a few mobile phone reviews on the world wide web.

  • note 7, best phone ever

Ya that phone is THE BOMB

    • It's the phone that exploded to the market

Used to have a OPO. Currently using the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro Prime SE.
Good: Great price point for a well rounded and solid phone.
Bad: The Camera needs a kick up the rear..

  • Nokia 3310

Cons: no wi-fi, bw screen, no camera

    Pros: it is indestructible.

      con: not android :)

Cons: can't be used as a phone on Telstra, or Optus from April 17, or even Vodafone from Sep 17…

I just bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro for $250 and I am loving it. I would highly recommend it. (Version with band 28. $250 included a flip case and express shipping)

  • I had an LG phone before. Absolute shit. It would brick at random and it lagged like hell.

Have a Sony now, never looked back. Been using it for close to 3 years and it still working well. Never lags, never bricks and battery life has shown no signs of decay.

  • Nexus 6P.
    Frequent security updates
    Big screen
    Great screen.
Love the finger print sensor at the back, very convenient to unlock

z3 compact. excellent size and battery life. no lags. but best phone i've ever owned is my 64gb iphone 5s - old but does everytihngi and still has up to date software.

    • How long does your battery last? Mine doesn't last more than a day with low to medium use. :/

      • Z3 is 2 days

        • Hmm, maybe I should get mine tested then… It's still under warranty.

  • Galaxy s7 edge. Hands down the best phone I have ever owned.

  • ZTE chat

  • Galaxy S7? Technically not mine, but as the saying goes, happy gf, happy life.

The phone has taken quite a beating though, probably going to replace the screen and such when she inevitably destroys the phone. She did that with almost all electronic devices she had, I am betting it's going to happen. That said, it still works fine which surprised me more than anything to be honest.

I am currently rolling with S6. I still like it a lot. Camera is decent enough, no SD card is a minus (since it's less convinient to do a backup etc etc), battery life is mediocre. Though it genuinely works fine and I never felt the need to go for a upgrade (waiting for next year's flagships but eh, I think I can roll with it for few more years).

I personally think unless you get a badly designed phone, most flagships would give you a decent experience with their performance, so I guess it goes without saying.

  • I own Moto G 2nd generation. Worst phone ever, cannot wait to find an alternative.
Lags, locks up, spend half my time waiting for it to respond. Cheap but terrible.

  • Samsung Galaxy S5. (I am always behind with the new technology but that never bothers me). I had SG2 and SG4 previously which were sold on or gifted, as they still looked new. I like the 16GB memory, 16MP camera, size is entirely suitable for me and ease of use, even though I am fairly certain I dont use half of the features. It is waterproof too; not that I take it fishing or to the toilet like some. Phone is about a year old now; I use it for emails, internet, main form of communication (Bluetooth connectivity in car; it gets more use than the laptop or iPad. Use many useful apps, including Pokemon GO apparently (kids use it when we are out). Battery lasts 24 hours usually (all our mobiles have a spare battery handy) and has fast recharge. Very rarely have connection problems.

Probably the deciding factor to upgrade is that as I am long term customer with Vodafone (paying for 3 diffferent plans for the family) I am given great deal come upgrade time… Effectively means I don't pay for it and have several takers at about 20 months old. Best phone I have had so far. Ps. Australian issue stock not Chinese, from Vodafone.

    LG V20.
    Solid phone.

    Pro's.
    Beautiful screen.
    Removable battery.
    Expandable memory.
    Fingerprint sensor.
4x32 bit DACs (Digital Analogue Convertor - essentially the sound card) which is great for recording loud audio up to 130db without distortion while providing a huge improvement on low level output for audio enthusiasts.

    Con's.
    Not water proof.

  • I started out with a Sony Xperia X10 which had really crap battery life, then was given an 'upgrade' by VirginMobile to a Arc which still had crappy battery life. Next Android phone i got was a LG Optimus G. battery life was a bit better but still crappy. Now I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone- pretty good decent battery life and phone has never crashed on me so far.

I was looking at some 5000mAh battery Lenovo phones but don't know if they're as good as Samsung. Also Huawei I would like to try there was a sale on at Lightinthebox for Huawei phones with 3GB Ram

  • Can't go wrong with my samsung galaxy s5.

Has everything i need and dose it with speed.
