  • "Sorry, we don't recognize the promotional code you entered. Please try again, or contact Customer Care."

    No deal.

    • Try from the alternate and make sure it's US marketplace not AU

      • But I don't live in USA, that would be lying.

        • Yes, yes it would. The choice is yours; tell Amazon, a company valued at US$370bn, that you have an American address for the five minutes it takes to enter a promo code for a free book, or don't. Personally, I'm fine with it.

It works. Logged into my Amazon account first. Then add to cart; go to your cart and click on the "Do you have a promotional code?" link to enter the promo code.
Had to enter a US address.

It keeps telling me I already have the item in my library. But I don't. Not worth the hassle. All of Audible. Not just this book.

      • +1

Customer service is really friendly and generous with the credits, try sending an email and they might fix your issue with a free credit.

      • Make sure to sign out of the app and sign in again in the US marketplace to see it.

  • Doesn't work with Aus account :(

  • I am not a big enough person to ozbargain myself up a US account for it :/

    • Can start an account without a subscription or payment option - address at the Waldorf Astoria Manhattan (like any ozbargainer who travels to new York); you can have downloaded books from multiple accounts loaded on the app. I've used this to spin single free credits into full trilogies of books

  • Just tried with a secondary account, working again - are you on audible.com, not audible.com.au?

    T's and C's

  • Worked fine for me using a US Audible account.

It's telling me I already have this book in the library and this promo only works for those who don't have the book already. But I don't have it. On US account

    • It gave me that message as well.

I ended up adding it manually to the cart and applying the code. not sure if you tried that.

      • What do you mean manually?
Like searching for it via the search bar on the site or what?

        • Yes… logged in without the link. (to the US Site) searched for the book, added it to the cart, and entered the code on checkout.

      • +1

I hadn't tried that, but it's still giving me the same error with that method. Are you still a gold member or no?

  • Worked

    Thanks for the tidy deal

  • I had trouble with it on mobile site. Cart doesn't seem to be available there for some reason. Even switching to "full site" on mobile still had issues, it would show up in my cart but was only discounted to $17 (or something similar). Worked fine when I loaded it up on a desktop PC though.

I read that book. My house is still a mess.

  • +1

She's a fruit loop, the book is some good, a lot weird.

  • I bought this book a while ago….I'm incredibly messy and was hoping this would help.

Firstly, it is very female oriented ie lots of clothes and girl talk.

There is a lot of good stuff in it but my place still looks like a pigsty!!!

She talked a lot about throwing stuff out which is highly relevant to avoid cluttering. However, there are so many things and clothing items that I disposed of and have regretted!!

Worth a listen to whilst driving as not too complex.

My biggest take-away was how to fold t-shirts which I still do following her guidelines

  • Thanks for that!

  • We're sorry. Due to publishing rights restrictions, we are not authorized to sell this item in the country where you live.

    That is on .com

Its somthing I hate about audible..they screw their paying customers who dont live in the US.

Really want to listen to Shoe dog the Phil knight memoir/biography but cant figure out how to get it on Audible

We're sorry. Due to publishing rights restrictions, we are not authorized to sell this item in the country where you live.

litrally dont want you money…that is why people pirate.

    • Just change your address to anything in the US. I change my address all the time. From a U.K. address for U.K. only titles to US address for US only. Very easy to do.

      • I already had a US address, that wasnt enough I had to delete my Australian address as well.

  • I just bought this book hahaha! I guess an audio book would be good too

  • Worked out how to get it working…plus buy the Phil Knight book with credits that was previously blocked.

Just deleted my Australian address from my accounty and credit card and added the address of the Oregon University in the US (the state has no sales tax)

Wait, what was the ME bank copy?
    Don't worry, found it :)
For anyone else wondering - it was here: http://mebank.com.au/lps/home-loans/marie-kondo/
    It's all gone though :(

This book is a joy (and yes, it is very female orientated).

I'm OK wit getting rid of clothes, the way she organises her clothes is brilliant. Makes everyones life easier when you do that. The other great tip is small carboard boxes for organising stuff (eg. one shoe box for your undies, one for you socks, one for batteries). That sort of thing. Storing things upright is a big help in finding stuff (eg. I have my baking trays stored upright in cardboard boxes, and it makes it super easy to flick through and find the right one).

Throwing out books if a whole other kettle of fish though - not going there LOL!!

  • thanks, seems relevant

  • Thanks for this and it worked for me. I haven't logged in to my Audible (US) account in quite some time. My subscription is turned off as my library had too much good content in it that hadn't been listened to since I had a change in jobs and my driving time went down substantially and that was my prime Audible time.

  • Title Not For Sale In This Country

Audible does not currently have the rights to sell this title in your country.

did you change your address to a US hotel while you're "staying" in the US? e.g.
      Waldorf Astoria, c/ reception
301 Park Ave, New York, NY 10022, USA

      • I don't find anywhere to change it:(, can you show me? By the way, I created another new account, and I am fine with that.

  • Audible's blocked on my work computer, but you might want to look at this;

    http://audible.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6699/~/h…

  • Thanks. Worked automatically just adding code☺

  • I've never used audible before. Can you access your audiobook if you do not renew after the free trial?

    • yes you can; your library is yours to keep.

      • Do you still need to go through their platform?

        • not necessarily, but it's a lot easier. the files are DRM-protected, and while you'd be able to burn CDs of the audiobooks;

          http://audible.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4750/kw/…

and I guess from that point convert them back to MP3s, which might be a way to avoid the platform; it seems like way more hassle than just using the app which remembers the last point listened to across devices.

          @dailygringo:

          You've sold me.

I will try to get the book tonight.

I wasn't going to if I couldn't access it after the month is up.
