Best Things to Buy around The World?

Since many of us have been to many places around the world, we'd notice places where it is cheaper to get one thing than in Australia.

Conversely, many have come to realise that in Australia, it is cheaper to get products than overseas. For example, many who come from Singapore come to Australia to buy milk powder, baby clothes and baby products because it is much cheaper here.

So when heading overseas, what did you notice that is worth bringing back from where?

Im going to hazard a guess people from china buy our baby formula because of the melamine scare they had before. Where the little kiddies unknowingly ingested plastics puut in baby formula to increase the protein detected when tested.

So nothing to do with price being cheaper here. More a health and safety issue.

  • When the AUD = USD a while back, almost anything from the USA…Some Brooks runners I bought over there were $100 USD, but here were $230 to $250!

I always buy a Persian rug when I am in Iran. They are never on sale here in Australia.

Chilli Powder from Thailand. I don't know if it is cheap, but it is 'red-hot'. Also Dried Prawns for making Pad Thai.
    No problems with Quarantine.

Generally toiletries (soap, shower gel, band aids, cotton balls etc etc) are cheaper in Malaysia/Bali/Thailand. I always stock up on little things like that from chemist's.

The big make-up & sports brands are cheaper in the US.
