Does anyone have any recommendations for where to buy good quality but cheap fresh produce? All types of fruits, vegetables and dairy.

North, happy to drive to most areas.
Paddy's Markets Flemington - go just before close (2pm) on a Saturday for the cheapest prices, although the caveat on this is that you forgo choice and you will generally need to buy in bulk.
its cheap as but the won't last more than 2 days tho so not really value for money
Huh? There is plenty on offer besides the end of life, over ripe fruit.
Flemington is where all the independent markets buy their produce, so there is no shortage of prime quality (although near end of life will be cheaper, of course).
I walked through Ashfield the other day for the first time in years. Asian greens were 69c, less than at Paddy's. Based on that, I reckon Cabramatta or Fairfield could be worth a shot too.
Basically, head for the communities where they use a lot of produce and are concerned about value!
Green groceries in Cabra aren't the cheapest anymore but you still get good quality if you look hard enough.
