great deal! i love this machine! have used it for almost 4 years every days, still going strong of a few descales! thats a crazy good price!

  • The nespresso cashback gives you two options: $70 cash or $95 coffee pod credit at nespresso stores

  • save your money for the Creatista Plus. Much better machine if your coffee with milk.

Read through the comments, everyone is singing praises for the creatista.

    • Agreed but not really the same type of price

    • You are comparing to a machine with 3x price tag.

    • I would buy this Lat+ which 3 years ago was about the price of Creatista. Use it for 3 years and by then the Creatista can be had for under $200 (with promos). Then get that.

  • I bought one a few years ago for around $500 and have never regretted it.

    • Can you advise on the milk froth settings.. which setting should you use for Latte Machiatto and which for Cappucino?

  • This is the same machine i have. Has been used daily for nearly 5 years and still going strong (hope I didn't just jinx it).

Would honestly buy this machine again if it broke tomorrow and that's an awesome price. We paid about $500.

  • Bought on NYE.

I've been happy with it so far. My Inissia which I hadn't used in a long time was pouring out dirt. I flushed the system with about 10 water jugs full through it and the water was not just murky, but there were stringy particles of dirt. It wasn't doing that before I packed it away (I covered it completely in plastic when I put it away btw). I don't know if descaling it would have cleared out all the dirt, but it would cost me $8 to find out. Decided I'd just buy this instead.

Comparing it to the $149 Saeco Caffitaly that I was using, the engineering is much better. The unit is smaller, sleeker, and better designed. The milk carafe is easier to dismantle and clean and contains fewer parts. Cleaning the Saeco was annoying. The parts were small and easy to lose, and milk would harden in difficult to reach places which required a toothbrush just to clean off. Same goes for the corners of the drip tray, where try as hard as I could, I wasn't able to scrape all the dried coffee off.

If I have any gripes with the Lat+, it's that they want you to clean the drip trays and milk carafe twice a week. I also wish the water container was air tight. The lid does not cover the entire jug. On the hinge side there's a slit where dust can get into your water. The Inissia jug didn't have that problem. I have to empty the container before every pour. Also, dust seems to cling to the black lid.

There's also no drip tray if you a tall glass. If you use a small glass, you can pull out the drip tray for it, but with a tall glass you have to push it in, which means it won't be sitting on top of a drop tray. Any dripping will land on the base of the machine. The nozzle will continue to drip a little bit after you've made your coffee, so when you remove the cup you definitely want to pull out that drip tray quickly before leaving the machine unattended.

The recycling canister I selected as my free gift for the welcome pack says it holds 100 used capsules but they suggest removing the capsules every 2 days and not leaving it in there. WTF am I meant to do with my capsules after removing them? What's the point in a giant canister that holds up to 100 caps if you are meant to remove them long before you can fill them up? If I'm meant to store them in a bag instead of the canister, there's no point getting this canister. I can just put it straight into a bag. I should have went for the cappucino cup set instead. And there's no way I'm going to the recycle drop off point every 2 days. You see in their recycling videos people bringing their entire cannister and tipping out the full 100 pods at a recycle bin. But I'm actually meant to store no more than 2-4 pods at a time in it before removing them? Make a smaller canister then.

  • Is the deal over? Im confused as to how to get it at that price. $299 right now - $20 and $70 cashback is only $209
