I bought a new Samsung Tab 10 from JB Hifi and had 2 battery related problems with it. Eventually got them to refund me. Then bought a Samsung Note 10 for $250 from a larger seller/refurbisher on ebay auction. The unit was about 2 years old when i bought it and i had it now for 18 month and have been very happy with it so far. No problems at all.
ipad mini 2 for 332 bucks at harvey norman. good call.
Teclast are generally the highest quality with Onda being the lowest.
There may be some good sales after CES as new tablets with Apollo Lake will showcased then. I know Chuwi's much larger Hi13 will be shown and they'll likely reduce their other tablets afterwards.
