Best Before 30-06-2017, I only purchased 20 as I already had 7, so my panoply of panettone may last until stage 8 of Tour de France.

Cheaper than bread this week.
Yeah, but bread makes terrible bread and butter pudding.
20?! Jees we know what Broden eats now
I may get a few more. Last year I had a tower of 31 leaning on the fridge. They were $1.50 then.
I'm surprised you buy name branded products at full price :O
My wife had a separate trolley while I filled mine with panettone and tissues.
Damn, I grabbed a few the other day for half price at Woolies!
someone likes Panettone…! :D
Where in the store were they? None in the bakery area when I looked.
All moved to the area where seasonal stuff is shelved.
Checked there too - that's where I found the mince pies ;)
Probably sold out then.
@PJC: I asked them at North lakes QLD, the only ones they had were $5 for 1kg fruit ones (different brand). Still a good price so bought a couple.
@SoccerPianist: Not a bad price - I think they were $20 before Christmas.
That's one of the crappiest brand in Italy!!!
And if it has choc chips then no matter what they call it's not panettone:)To my unsophisticated palate they are still quite nice. Baroni is imported by Ital Biscuits, and was $8 before Christmas at Coles, who also stocked the Ital panettone, made in Australia, for $11. I bought both brands last year, and I could not tell the difference.
I would love to see how your storing your 27 panettones?
6 per layer, leaning on the fridge. Last year it was 4 per layer, which became wobbly.
you better be riding some serious kms to work that off….!
None at Coburg Coles .
Only 23 panettone left in the pile now …
Lucky bugger !I looked for them in heaps of coles couldn't find any .Never tasted them before & wanted to try them after your post.Question ?Are they a cake or bread ?& how do you eat them ?
Not quite a cake, it is a sweet, bread loaf, two leagues above the quality of raisin toast, but it is unnecessary to toast panettone. I slice it and eat it straight, or quite often lightly buttered or sometimes spread with cream cheese but nothing sweet.
yum yum…. and panettone makes a fantastic bread and butter pudding too.
