    Thanks again 28D, for your tantalising timepiece tempters. Another one on its way, the Casio Solar, first for 2017.
    Hopefully I'll get the Cashback this time. Last watch from Amazon was stuffed up somewhere even though the click-out was registered by Cashback.
    BTW your G-Shock deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/279253) is an excellent watch, albeit the tide function, for which I bought it, was a little difficult to programme. However Google saved the day again.

    I bought the timex expedition during the previous sale (leather band, cream dial). Good looking first watch. Just be aware that most Timex quartz watches are pretty loud. I have to put my watch in the cupboard at night, otherwise it drives me nuts.

    The leather bands aren't that great so I just got some NATO straps and it does the trick.

    Hi, when I added the Casio W213-1AVCF to my Amazon cart, I got 'Some of the items in your order cannot be shipped to the selected address' even though the item said it can be shipped to Sydney. Is there a restriction I need to overcome before I can make the purchase? thanks

        I assume its the battery. I have filled out a return form so I will return it. I don't really want to take it to a kiosk to see what is wrong with it as it will probably cost more than the watch is worth.

      If you want to keep an eye on a particular model, you can use Camel to email you the desired price alert.
      However I don't think Camel recognises Lightning Deals.

      Just copy & paste the Amazon url into the search bar, then set your desired price & email address.

      Did you check out the Timex T499359J Expedition in my comment above?
      The price has dropped to US$38.97 + $6.02 Shipping
      I think this is a slight step up in quality for not much more. It's also 100 Metres waterproof.
