And the R9 490 may be showcased too.
… deals with less than 10 items in stock at the time of publishing may be unpublished
Been more than $100 cheaper recently, will be cheaper in the very near future, and the stock quantity doesn't meet deal posting guidelines.
Purchasing this item now is not a reasonable course of action to take.

So, it's been up for 3 hours and still has stock. The point of the guideline is to not have posts that sell out the second they are posted.
Looking at buying one soon but waiting for a better deal than this :)
Crazy to buy the 1080 now when the ti will be announced in dayss, price drop/faster card out

Though I prefer CentreCom to ShoppingExpress, this card has been far cheaper, and will be far cheaper soon, so I'm going to have to downvote.
Just like any other product has been cheaper before & will get cheaper again, the price was the best around at time of posting if it helped one person buy that needed one now it's not a bad thing & if they used a credit card with price protection they would be refunded the difference if the price drops significantly soon, don't mind being downvoted but atleast find a real legitimate reason like a cheaper deal at the time of posting

As noted by OP, definitely not a very cheap price. Could be had for $779 in November. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/277164
Similarly, the MSI Gaming GTX 1080 could be had with free delivery last month too for $779.
If anyone is shopping now, I would wait till the announcement of the GTX 1080ti this month and hopefully that puts price pressure on the 1080s.
