I think cheaper in EB and steam…

Cheap for a reason - reviews aren't favourable.

GW are going for the shotgun approach with games at the moment. Vermintide is great, Space Hulk is adequate, this is just trash.

Will probably need to be very soon.

  • so this game is worse than the two Dawn of War series?

with dawn of war iii coming out this year i think i will hang back and put my. money towards that. seems to get to a point where you notice the same engines and mechanics in these games with just a changed theme.

will be interesting to see if halo wars 2 in feb has something "innovative".

amazing how quick development and patches come to an end with some of these games …. at least starcraft ii still gets patches as blizard keep that franchise alive.

    • DOW2 was the last game that i upgraded my PC for, and since I finished it I haven't really played anything seriously since (having a 2yo doesn't help either). I can't wait for DOW3…

      • DOW2 didn't do it for me. Entirely different to what I was expecting after DOW1.

DOW3 I'll wait and see before buying.

  • This game is actually quite enjoyable. I've only played multiplayer which is a 3rd person shooter with scissors paper rock melee elements. The four races have different feels with 4-7 classes each and a wide variety of weapons. The original developers who did a shoddy job have been replaced and it seems to be on the improve.

There are no pay to win elements, you just spend experience to gamble on lock boxes that give drops. Start at the cheapest and work your way up, when you have every item from a tier of lockbox it doesn't let you buy them anymore. There is real currency transactions but they are only for cosmetic items or weapons that are quickly superseded from the experience drops.

I can't speak on the co-op mode at all.
