Hi all, currently been trawling through each provider's websites and details but have yet to find a good deal so will ask here - any tips on the best sim card or plan for calling Indonesian mobiles (i.e. no data to data calls as the recipient in Jakarta has very poor data connection, if any). Decent call quality is a must as some providers have very poor connections to Indonesia.
Currently we are using Vodafone prepaid since they had Indonesian mobiles included in the prepaid balance of 300 minutes but we have just moved to a Telstra postpaid companion plan (i.e. I am on this plan, my wife is using the $5/mth companion sim so we can cancel this anytime) which is unlimited in local calls. Our S7s are all dual sim so we can get a separate sim card for international calling.
I am also thinking of trying Rebtel since it sounds promising (unlimited calls to Indonesian mobiles, only need to call local number) but am wondering if there are any other options or suggestions? The other option is the TPG $29.99 plan which includes unlimited local calls, 3gb of data and 100 minutes of international calls to Indonesia, and $0.12/min thereafter.
Preference is a prepaid or a non-contract postpaid sim card.
Lebara starts at 1 cent a minute + Flagfall.
