This was a relatively popular deal recently when $599 at JB Hifi, now available for $1 less at Harvey Norman.

Edit: It seems the sale starts 3 Jan so have altered the start date. I couldn't see a start date anywhere in the catalogue Now online
I just bought this for my wife and it is an excellent phone. Camera is simply stunning, especially low-light monochrome.
I just wanted to point out some drawbacks/considerations so you're not disappointed:
Accessories are not as easy to find as other phones. Suggest ordering a screen protector/case online now so you can protect the phone straight away. We still have the OEM screen protector on.
Uses a proprietary fast charging standard. After (extensive) research, there is only ONE charger that will work which is the Huawei-branded fast charger (9V2A). This is impossible to find in stock with an Australian plug. The phone does not include this fast charger. And even with this charger, charging times are not spectacularly improved when compared to Quickcharge.
In case you're wondering, no Quickcharge charger will work (except at normal 5V/2A). The phone also does not support USB-C's PD (3A) specification.
There is no original Huawei car-charger that supports Fast Charging, only dodgy eBay ones. Without this, trying to charge with GPS Nav going results in the phone discharging slower than normal.
Notifications were not working out of the box. This is due to Huawei's aggressive battery-saving software. To enable Whatsapp/Viber/Gmail etc notifications, there is a 4-step process detailed here:

No VoLTE at the moment. Rumour is that hardware is capable but waiting for software to enable it.
Android Nougat still potentially weeks away however you can load the Nougat Beta build now without compromising warranty. Otherwise the Security patches are up to October only.
I don't love the EMUI interface as there is no built-in app drawer. My wife (coming from Apple) loves it as it is more iOS-like and familiar. There is an update to EMUI 5.0 due shortly (beta testers seems to like it as well). Simple fix is to install Nova Launcher which is excellent.
Overall, I would say the the price is amazing for a premium phone like this. Ideally would have picked up the Pixel but didn't feel it was 2x better than the P9 and so did not justify over 2x the price.
