Hi All,
I wanted to set up my finances better in 2017. Can you help advise on some products?
At the moment I currently have the following accounts:
* CBA Smart Access + Netbank Saver (no funds just for salary - on six figures)
* CBA Mastercard Gold, took advantage of $250 cash back
* ING Every Day and Savings Maximiser ($50k savings) + $75 cash back.
I think I may keep the ING Accounts due to good rate + ability to withdraw funds. I'm obviously open to better accounts if there's a good reason?
In terms of credit cards. I'm leaning towards https://www.anz.com.au/personal/credit-cards/frequent-flyer/… for the no annual fees and 75k points. However, I'm not across whether AMEX is best suited for my situation? There are alot of surcharges?
I generally only keep one card for use but am wondering if its worthwhile holding onto two. 1 for general uses 1 aimed at promotion cards. Please help :)
Ditch the CBA gold.
The ANZ Black is a good card. You must have an Amex in your portfolio to take advantage of the multiple offers that come up with Amex.
ANZ Black will give you the Amex to use where Amex's are not accepted. Surcharges are becoming less frequent and there is no surcharge at major supermarkets.
For supermarket and petrol spend the Amex Plat Edge is the best. Also have a look at the Amex Explorer.
