Indeed. It's alarmingly a greater deal than the last.
Wake up / Grab a brush…..
And put on a little makeup..
shimy shimy.. don't be late for school again ..urrghh!
Is it just me but I think alarm clocks are so old school? Don't we use our smart phones for alarms? But I'll get one anyway lol
I use my Pebble Time, wakes me up but not everybody else.
before you go go?
Too soon 😿
Oh wham! I mean, snap!
No one ever can wake George up again💔
I use to use my phone. Then I chucked it one morning being half asleep. They don't bounce as well as traditional alarm clocks
i prefer an old school clock. that way if i wake up in the middle of the night i can glance over and see what time it is instead of having to turn on my phone to check the time.
Does that mean you turn off your phone?
Just the screen silly.
@Trishool: HAHA oh yea true. But I do know someone that turns their phone off due to fear of radio waves. In my head I think why don't you just put it on flight mode instead..
@illumination: Radio waves are all around them, phone or not. Phone would be more a source of microwaves. But you can't argue with a paranoid loony :(
A clock app. Will display the time and has an alarm feature.
Is it just me but I think alarm clocks are so old school?
I can only speak for myself: glow-in-the-dark numbers are useful but hardly required. Another thing that's not required: constant 24/7 power suckers like clock radios. They might not use much but it adds up 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Not this one m8
I have one and just tested it at 1.3W. At my ~27c/kWh tarrif it would cost about $3/year to run.
If true, that is lower than any other clock radio I've seen. I typically see multiples of that figure.
Like I said, they don't use much but it's still a constant drain that's on all the time. Daily Network Charges for grid electricity are the real joke. About 500 bucks a year without even turning a thing on. Glad I am not paying for that scam.
There is a reason why it's selling at $18
Old tech, looks like Sony is getting rid of a product line that isn't popular these days because everyone's using their mobile phones instead.
It's an alarm clock radio not an alarm clock.
I bought one so I am less tempted to look at my phone before bed i.e. if I can use another device as an alarm
less tempted to look at
my phoneozbargain before bedFixed it for you and me
Even my old man who's atechnophobe uses a phone to tell the time in lieu of an alarm clock
Nice one, resoundingly better than the last.
My local Coles never had it.
Can you provide a shop.coles.com.au link? I don't know what keyword to search for to book online. Or is this thing only in store?
Which aisle is this usually kept in?
The Sony aisle.
Memory Lane aisle
I couldn't find it online either.
Only in store.
Down, Down, alarm clock radios are down.
you will find a good choice of mobile phones for less! My Nokia 6110 Navigator will wake me up very gently even while switched off!
I love alarm clock radios as it allows you to listen to music before you fall asleep (usually can set it to turn off up to an hour later), and with headphone jack its even better as you can stick a pillow speaker and not annoy your non-musical partner.
My rooster wakes me up
Be wary of the buzzing noise while idle. As per advice from $22 Sony thread
These are not good radios at all. My one barely tuned in and was always full of static. It has gone into the bin but the packaging was of excellent quality if you need to post something small.
Got two from Sony so now am out 8 bucks!
It's a nice looking aesthetic clock that happily sits beside your tv or on a ledge or whatever.
The radio is a bonus, hardly used it as it does sound pretty thin and gutless. For 20 or so still a good unit.An alarm clock radio might be old school - but we all know if the power is off or went off in the night simply by noticing the numbers flashing. I then go check how every thing is going knowing that the power was off.
normal price is $20 and it is still 20 bucks at my local coles
Any idea which stores have these in Sydney, called up a couple of my local but not dice
$9 yesterday in Bathurst NSW Coles, marked down from $18, about 20 units left.
Anyone notice aunty of these left in a Coles in Melbourne? I bought one already but I'd like another for the other bedroom.
My aunty says nope.
Thanks for checking.
I came across one yesterday in Collingwood, it was behind other things in the stationery aisle, last one they had in stock. Now both bedrooms have a clock I can check easily in the middle of the night when our toddler wakes up.
That's awesomely handy. I just hope that it is not too distracting (or is haha lol depending on your situation)
any stock in any of the Melbourne or inner suburbs stores? Myers selling this for $42
What an ace deal, nice find Op.
