I'm just in the market to buy a pool table probably second hand from gumtree and just want peoples experiences and any recommendation on removalist they used (NSW)?
So far:
- Slate is a must most prefer 3 piece but that makes the cost even more
- 8ft is most common
- Check for cracks on slate.
- I think last I got quoted shipping can be 900~ depending on size and location.
- Check if legs/table is balanced
My other option I'm thinking is buying brand new from one of these guys and checking out their showroom alltablesports or K-Sports, the former interests me since some of them have a table top so I could double up as a board game table.
When I bought a second hand pool table from a place that did arcade machines - they delivered it to me for $150.
The slate top comes right off if you get 3 or more people to pick it up. It's heavy as.
The base doesn't weight that much.
When I sold it 4 guys came and took it away in a ute.
However my place was an in and out driveway no steps.
If you have steps it's difficult because 4 people need to fit.
