NiteCore make excellent flash-lights and in a small form-factor too.
Apparently this is the version 2 of the NiteCore TIP, where there is no "lockout drain" and the red light doesn’t blink when you lock out the light.
The red LED under the buttons flashing when the TIP is put into "lockout mode" is a tell-tale sign that you have a TIP v1. The TIP v1 had a battery drain issue in lockout. Peoples batteries where going flat in lockout mode after only 4 days. This is fixed on the Christmas edition of the TIP.

only the GREEN-RED colour is getting the deal, whereas the BLUE-RED is much higher priced.
it is the one colour only, because it's the Christmas special :-)
according to this review — http://budgetlightforum.com/node/51504 — that this Christmas edition is the version 2 of the TIP light.
and the version 2, fixes some problems from the version 1 of the TIP light.
