Anyone purchased/used OnePlus 3 yet?

I was looking for a good value mobile and I came across the recently launched OnePlus 3. It looks like an amazing phone. I was wondering if anyone here has purchased/used it. How has been your experience? I know it doesn't work on some network bands of Optus and Telstra but it has no issues with Vodafone network.

Also, where to purchase this phone at the best price?

Thanks heaps!

OnePlus 3 is out of production. OnePlus 3T is current model (they bumped up the battery and the CPU a tiny notch in a mid year revision). I don't have one myself, my trusty old OnePlus One is still chugging along. But by all accounts the OnePlus 3T is a great phone.

    But by all accounts

Nope, some accounts did not think it was great.

I have both the OnePlus 3 and the 3T (bought myself the first one originally, then bought my wife the 3T, who graciously offered to take the 3 so I could have her 3T).

Great phone. Really feels like a flagship phone in terms of screen quality, speed, responsiveness. Camera is excellent. Battery life (especially on the 3T) is definitely adequate for a full day's use (assuming you're not playing CPU-intense games the whole time). Dash charging is awesome, and I think it's much better than Quickcharge. Only downside is how it's proprietary, so only OnePlus sells Dash-charge compatible chargers. Standard USB chargers work too, but don't charge the phone faster than "normal".

    • Thanks. Do you see too many drawbacks of OnePlus 3 when compared to newer model OnePlus 3T? I am confused as to which one is better value for money.

As far as I'm aware, production of all OnePlus 3 models has stopped. The 3T has totally replaced it.

The differences are all very small. 3T is slightly more expensive, but it's also slightly faster (on the spec sheet; I haven't noticed any difference in real-life usage), has a better front-facing camera (rear-facing is identical), and I think most significantly has a slightly bigger battery. Personally, the only real difference I've seen is in the battery life, and for that reason alone I think it's worth the slightly extra money.

    • Hi bro, where did get your 3 and 3T?

      • Straight from the source (OnePlus). Only possible because I'm living in Hong Kong currently.

        • ah that's why. thanks!
