Minecraft for Xbox One Download Code from NZ Microsoft Store

Hi

I was looking for Minecraft Digital Download code for my sons xbox one s & came across this deal. When I chatted to online support they said it will work only in the country u purchased it from not here in australia. So just wondering is this true ? It's NZ$9.95 where as in Australia Microsoft it is $29.95 . TIA

    I doubt it will work
    Region locked and it will work out your live account is not NZ

    Try your luck but you could be out 10 bucks

      Xbox One games are region free. It will work.

      The hardest part will be the actual buying and you may need a vpn .

      I have bought digital Xbox One games and DLC from all around the world , including Russia and USA etc and they work fine on my Oz Xbox One .

        Proof of this?
        From what I have seen it detects a lot of factors today
        Credit card country codes etc
        So unless you have proof it actually works, not just some theory I stand by my ORIGINAL POST

          @shawncro 222: Here are my recent purchases from the Brazilian and Russian Xbox stores, it definitely works. I've also used gift cards through Canada and had a friend of mine use his Indian card to buy directly for me once. Your comment is the first I've read about them clamping down so can you please elaborate on how you know this?

      Games / download codes are region free, they just have checks in the purchasing process (e.g. credit card address).
      If you can get through the checkout process it will work.

    I purchased from the US store just last week.

    Trick for US store purchase, buy a xbox gift card from amazon.com, then go to the xbox.com, switch to the Us store by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page. Pay for any digital item from the us store using the gift card. Yes you do have to set up a US billing address. Pick one from a state with no sales tax.

    Any one figured out how to get this from here?

    The only option I see is if you know someone with a NZ credit card.

    I cant find anyone that sells a $10 digital xbox code. I found $25plus ones. Defeats the savings if I do that.

    VPN, entering NZ all doesnt seem to work.
