The UE Roll 2 is not even really an upgrade. They increased the range to 30m and that's about it from what I could tell. The box even has the same barcode. So grab the first gen cheap if you can.
I bought one of these to "double up" with a UE Boom 2, but they then released a firmware update which stopped the ability to double up between them! Pretty annoyed.
Also grabbed one for $60 a while ago, very pleased with it. Make good gifts too.
