    Be aware that according to the Yamaha website it is 'Discontinued' and also the last Firmware Update was Registered Date : 28/5/2014.

    I talked to Yamaha a few months back and they said this is the only omodel in the range still being sold in AU with DAB+ radio. It's a great player, CD, CDR-W DAB+, FM, Internet Radio, Spotify, DLNA, Airplay, USB, Flac/WAV 24bit/192kHz, Smart and Tablet app.

    I looked around and couldn't find anything similar in size and features to this. Especially if you are looking for a quality brand name system.

    • It's a shame really, no DAB on the current gen of micros.

        DAB's redundant now - every radio station streams on internet. Countdown to day when no CD player.

  • Thanks OP, after reading the review at http://www.audioappraisal.com/yamaha-mcr-n560-review/ I just bought one, been looking for a good well-known brand with networking for some time.

  • Nice find OP. The features make this a very unique model on the market.

  • Nice offering OP, thank you very much for bringing this to us all, and a very merry Christmas to all :-).

    The Black or Black/ Brown version would be better for me (Go with what I already own), and WiFi connection for the net would be nice too, but you cannot have everything, getting a Yamaha DAB and Yamaha CD to go with my Yammy Aventage receiver is something to bring warmth to my heart :-)

    This post got me looking. If you are looking for something that's in the same vein as this Yammie, JB is selling a Panny that's current and for $50 more, have the peace of mind from buying from a bricks & mortar.

    • That one looks good. Adds blue tooth and wifi N. Its also shorter in height than the Yamaha.

    • Does the Panasonic have Optical Audio input?

      • Panasonic has the following external audio inputs. Unfortunately no digital input
        * PC Audio In: USB type B
        * Aux 1 - Stereo Left and Right RCA

        Yamaha has the following external audio inputs:
        * Digital 1: Optical Audio
        * Digital 2: Coaxial Audio
        * Aux 1: Stereo Left and Right RCA
        * Aux 2: 3.5mm Stereo Mini Jack

        • Thats what makes the Yamaha very unique.

  • Not exactly in the same vein but I recently picked up for a friend this Panasonic unit:

    http://www.ryda.com.au/panasonic-sc-rs52gn-s-dab-micro-hifi

    Has most of the same main features (DAB, CD, Bluetooth, Streaming eg.Spotify from phone, 40W, micro system, etc. So may satisfy some people considering this deal as half the price.

  • Any ideas on what model (Yamaha) sub-woofer you could hook up to this unit?

  • Would be an even better buy now with the $20 off deal and Cashrewards 2%, although there maybe a good chance of CR being declined as per CR terms and conditions. Otherwise it could be $470 for this HiFi with about an extra $30 off.
