  • Looks like mine is finally ready for pickup in store. Any of you guys that have the tv remember what the box size is like?
Do you reckon it'd fit in a Honda Civic cxi hatch '99 with the back seats down?

    • Sorry, don't remember the exact dimensions, but the Samsung site has the box size. I'm still waiting for my TV to arrive at the store.

      • +2

All good. It fit easily laying down. I brought some blankets and pillows to make it secure since I couldn't transport it upright.
Loving the TV so far! Nice upgrade from my LA46A950

  • Couple of questions for those of you with the TV.
    1) Why doesn't it accept Australian post codes when it asks to enter one during setup? Only US post codes eg. 90210 (am I doing something wrong?) If I skip entering a post code, it bugs me every time I switch HDMI sources and wants me to set them up (which then again asks for a post code) wtf is it even for?

    2) How do you stop the Freeview plus window from popping up when switching channels? Eg. I change to 7HD and I get a window that briefly appears in the top left corner with the option to select 7 plus or freeview plus by pressing the red or green buttons. It's annoying.

Other than that, it's great. 4K looks amazing. Was testing it watching "Moving Art: Underwater" on Netflix.

    • Well i can answer my own questions.
The post code issue was caused by accidentally leaving my US VPN on at the time of setup. This also put US apps on the TV eg. HBO GO, STARZ etc.
To fix it, I had to reset the TV and go through the setup again with my VPN turned off.

As for the Free view banners popping up. I turned this off by going to settings > broadcasting > expert settings > HbbTV and turning it off.
