    A review on this unit says that the bass is a bit overpowering. Anyone here have an opinion on that?

      Not sure how the bass of a speaker this size could ever be overpowering. It ultimately depends on the source. I use it with my droids that have their own EQ. I simply adjust the EQ settings to my taste, reduce the bass and sounds come out clear with very little to no distortion. With my iPad, there's no system-wide EQ but it still sounds good enough to be enjoyed. Not the kind of sound I would have liked but no complaints there. It's quite amazing the kind of sounds that come out of this thing though. If only there was a way to connect it to my console.

      I am an avid tech lover. Have nearly tried all new types of bluetooth speakers and I rate these right up there with the Libratone Zipp.
      Bass can be controlled using EQ but this speaker is amazing for the price.
      I used to be surprised when ppl mention how good Logitech UE Boom 1-2- etc are. Honestly if they are 'Good' , this is AWESOME

          If you go through all the online reviews of wireless Bluetooth speakers, only the Harmon Kardon Go+Play tops it for sound quality (it's also nearly double the price, doesn't get as loud and I'm not even sure if you can source one locally).

          @KLoNe: JB now has the Extreme at $399 and the Harmon Kardon Go+Play only $50 more. The HK kills the Extreme for sound quality
