Thought I'd post after testing indoors and outdoors. My helicopter arrived earlier this week. It has a flashing red and blue police lights and a runtime of approximately 10 minutes.

Brilliant Lights: It's very beautiful when you open the light in the dark.

How was the body, I have bought one and it was made from foam, wants to play around in the middle of the work shit, thanks OP.

    • +3

So not only are you getting paid toilet breaks, you play around with rc toys while taking a dump? That's… Very productive.

Maybe I too should fly FPV drones while I'm on the loo at work so I can keep a close eye on my staff.

LOL, no one can fire me, are you my boss ?

        • +1

          Worse. I'm your wife.

    • Definitely not made from foam, it is very strong plastic. IMO pretty good quality for the money. Crashed a few times into trees and not a scratch.

Thanks for making me muck my 6 bucks mate.

Careful with this one - The price charges was not the price shown at checkout, and the log-in password sent in the 'temporary account' e-mail sent [ using the e-mail harvested from the paypal login] was refused as invalid.:-/ Still. US$5.08 which comes to about A$7.30.
I see on Sitejabber they have a 15% approval rating. Maybe others here may be able to comment on how reliable an assessment that is.

    • Did you make sure shipping insurance isn't selected?

      • Yes. The final total was shown as US$4.00 when the DECE18 had been entered, went up to ~$24 when i selected 2, dropped back down to $4 when I reselected one, then was receipted as:
        8.44 USD
        Subtotal 8.44 USD
        Insurance 1.08 USD
        Grand Total 5.08 USD

        In the subsequent e-mail.
The insurance was not selected however it appears to have been applied. It was a paypal transaction so I'm not particularly fussed - nut i did change my password lol :-p I suspect the site's scripts don't play to well with Chromium, as opposed to chrome like some others I have found.

I changed the currency to AUD, unselected shipping insurance, and paid $5.39 total via PayPal.

    • I got $5.39 AUD without any issues. Not your fault you can't read what you're clicking on.

      • +1

It would also be my fault that the password for the account, stated as being my e-mail, fails both on manual entry and cut and paste, that the amount charged didn't match the highlighted final total offered on the page and that 70% of the people who rated the site on sitejabber found them rather lacking.
As I said, their site appears to have trouble with my browser. I could have highlighted that, but a person of your erudition and obvious vast life experience shouldn't need that. I posted my experience for the edification of the users of this site. Some may find it useful.

Where do I enter the code? I logged in but cannot find the code field. I am trying to buy on my phone.

    • +1

Like this! Proceed to the checkout, ensure shipping insurance isn't selected and apply code. You can also use points to bring it down further like I did.

      • +1

        Thanks! That worked.

Perfect, hopefully they get here before Christmas.

      Be reasonable - they're not coal powered…

bought one, hope that will take to deliver, not more then a month, thanks OP

  • I was stuck in last step, when I clicked on "confirm" in shipping address page, it's loading and can't through,
    looping,

    • Sorry about that, seems to still work for me so I don't know

It may pay to try another browser :-/ That's the nice thing about standards - there's so many to choose from, and I suspect the plethora of browsers all with their own little ways of handling code coupled with the often ignored fun of translation from pictographic to Latin text may be the problem with this site. Most of the complaints on the review site I referred to above appear to be mis-communications and misunderstandings.
Try printing a Centerlink receipt for a client in Microsoft's nice new .docx format on corporate environment maintained business grade ~2yr old lasers printers - <crickets> then a beeping complaining re-set needed .. ;-/

thanks, done with Chrome browser, cheers

  • Anyone need to change their PayPal password? Last transaction made to this site and my account was flagged due to a suspicious login. Could be coincidence…

    • You sure it isn't a phishing email? What does it say when you go on PayPal from http://www.paypal.com ?

      • +1

I'm sure. When I logged in through PayPal on the AU PayPal page a message came up suggesting a suspicious log in occurred on my account. I was prompted to immediately change the password and could not skip it. I've never had this occur and my device scanned up as clean. I've since logged in with that new password.

Did anyone receive this yet? it has been 3 weeks now and still shows in transit..

    • +1

Hope it comes soon, should come within the next week. Right now not much we can do besides wait.

Mine came in yesterday - everything I expected:-)They are being posted out from Tonga!I didn't take it out for a flight as I promised a collegue the cheapest 'drone' I could find on the net. Some of the You-tube demonstrators have got the knack of trimming and flying the devices [Power full on to take off, power back to half-way then [trim] the flight seems to be the knack] - it will probably be a lot easier to leant to manage than hopping in the real thing….

  • Just thought I might add, to charge the helicopter it sits directly on top of the charging port. Took me a while to figure out!
