Just used this receipt from Woolworths to buy discounted beer.
Coupon gives you: Crown Golden Ale 24pk for $43 - $50 at Dan Murphy's or Heiniken 24pk for $40 - $45 at Dan Murphy's.

Also noticed instore that Imported Becks was $39 for a case/slab - $49 at Dan Murphy's!

    and if you ask nicely at Liquorland, like I did today, the operator scanned the same docket deal 4 times so I got the slab of heineken for $40.

    Inflation for beer, but pre mixed spirit drinks had a specific binge drinking tax put on it awhile back.

      I think it's mostly government tax, even for beer.

      Whenever the government needs money they always hit smokers and drinkers.

      I think about 50% + of the cost of a pack of cigs goes to government.
