      Consumer products giant Unilever is buying the Dollar Shave Club, reportedly for about $1 billion in cash. It's a seemingly hefty price tag for cheap blades. The Dollar Shave Club had sales of $152 million in 2015 and is on pace for more than $200 million in revenue this year, Unilever said.

      Because when you buy them by the shipload cheap Chinese razors cost barely anything. Someone found the supplier for this brand and they're like 10c each.

    Ive tried the executive. It clogs very easy and very hard to unclog. These are not for me. Perhaps the others are better suited.

    YMMV but i used these guys for a couple of months before going back to Gillette. Found the shavers to be nowhere near as close a shave or comfortable.

        Oh for sure, wasn't trying to deter others. Just offering my experience with the shavers, I wanted them to work but instead i continue to have my wallet gouged by Gillette

      I would say they are not bad, much better than oscar (http://oscarrazor.com.au/), but still far away from any gillette - just my opinion though…

    Just tried the $10 executive (6 blades) - i'm impressed actually. Nice close shave, no irritation at all, and whilst it clogged more than a shick 5 blade or gilette 6, it is muuuuch better than the Aldi 6 blades which clog immediately and are hard to clean. This one just needed a firm rinse to unclog.
    6 blades is a bit much honestly (and the gilette/shick 5/6 blades are better), but the trimmer blade on the back is nice which the shick doesn't have. I'll likely switch to the 4 blade to see if that is sufficient, though I may miss the trimmer again.
    FWIW - I've also tried the jeans/denim sharpening trick and have to say that it brought life back to my old shick blade.

      I'll add now that the blades didn't stay sharp for too long esp compared to Gillette/Schick. "Jeans sharpening" keeps them usable for a while though.
      Importantly, I have been on the 4 blade variant and they are very ordinary. Maybe only good for fine stubble.
