Going to be in LA for 4 full days (hotel in hollywood hills), Vegas (on the strip) for 2 full days (1 of which for Grand Canyon) and San Fran (staying in Union Square) for 7 days (1 of which in Yosemite). What would be the best place to do some outlet shopping for RL, Tommy HIlfiger etc. considering we only have 2 full days in Vegas but that is the closest outlet store, is there anytihng for outlet shopping near Hollywood perhaps? As San Fran outlet is well outside of city too, making transport to and from very expensive.

Are you driving from LA to San Francisco ? If so Camarillo is on the way, big place, has those brands you mentioned, was there last year prices were ok in some stores, good in others. They tended to give you coupons if you asked.

I have found that you get better Deals at Macys when they have their sales eg Tommy Hilfiger polos were $28 us two weeks ago

Outlet stores are for tourists who cant do better.
Vegas has two outlet malls - north and south. North is a bit pretentious. South is better HOWEVER
You will get WAY better deals/bargains if you go off the strip to their general, everyday shops that the tourists wouldn't go to. I was there in June and only bought (from the outlet malls) some shirts on sale and some specific shoes that someone wanted. Bought everything else off the strip.
Hire a car when you get there, casinos usually have free parking, and then peruse everything off the strip at your leisure. That's what we do.
